Blakely Rock Race 2022

What a study in contrasts! The 2022 Blakely Rock Race provided a terrific start to the Center Sound Series, with several variables demonstrating exactly why sailors love this chess game called sailboat racing ... plenty of wind / little wind, dark clouds / shots of sun, color-sparse moments / scores of spinnakers, tight starts / late starts, room at The Rock / fishing boat smack dab in the way, current going this way / then thataway, "I start at 10?" / "Oh, 9:30?" , and lastly / mostly, the daffodils, honoring the fleet's memory of our dearly departed Kelly O'Neil.
