Foulweather Bluff 2018
Foulweather Bluff Race Extreme Storm Warnings … er, not this year. PhotoBoat actually didn’t have a gear “low enough to go slow enough" to keep down (not up) with the fleet! At least all the competitors appeared at peace with the cards Mother Nature dealt, and drifted contently amongst one another. You’ll note that in this photo set I do have one “portrait” of the red bell buoy at Foulweather Bluff itself, namesake of the race … PhotoBoat remained on station there waiting patiently, oh so patiently, until the realization set in (four or so hours after the event time limit expired) that no one was going to join us for The Photo Op of the Century. Understandable, but a downer nonetheless. PhotoBoat finally arrived back in her “berth” in Tacoma late Sunday. Perhaps the OA should contract for some breeze next year? Just sayin’
