J/Fest Northwest 2018

Okay, so I don’t suspect anybody could disagree that the weather was nice and the wind “light and variable”. It was and it was. That said, there wasn’t a whole lot of SS (sail shakin’) going on, huh? So what? The very BEST part of the weekend was having SO many J-boats on the water together, showing the strength of the design/build principles that have made J-boats SO popular over the decades. The second best part was Charley working some of his seasoned PRO magic in creating unique racing opportunities without much breeze to make it happen. Let’s see … (1) on the water, (2) in a J-boat, (3) with friends, (4) a bit of breeze, (5) a dose of sunshine, (6) fun courses, and (7) a terrific reawakening of an event too long gone.
