Winter Vashon 2021
Long before ET (Extraterrestrial) there was ET (Enigmatic Travail), which this year's race around Vashon Island exemplified. It's always such a challenge to have a doggone happy knee-slapping time when the racing is cold, wet, slow, befuddling, and fires up the what-in-the-heck-are-we-doing-out-here-today neurons. Well, that's sailing - always such a wide range of conditions, competitors, outcomes, emotions, and post-race sea stories. Now hopefully, as you're reading this, all the sails were washed clean, your foul weather gear freshened up, the boat stowed, and (big leap here) you're now dry, warm, and relaxed, sporting a grin in remembrance of yet another wonderful day on the South Sound, surrounded by hundreds of friends that love the sport as do you. Enjoy these photos!
